I have a confession to make.
I hate routines. And I am horrible at incorporating anything new into my daily skincare routine. I know the moisturizers and creams and exfoliators are so great for my skin, but I’ve just never taken the time to add these things to my daily routine. Honestly, it sounds like a chore (and who likes chores, am I right?).
The ladies working our store will roll their eyes at me for saying all this, but at the end of the day, I do agree with them: skincare *is important.* But… I am no esthetician. I’m a copywriter, and adding more minutes to my mirror time sounds excruciatingly painful (probably just as miserable as writing blog posts sounds to them. So that’s why I do it!).
Anyway, now that I’m working for Skin1, I decided now is the time to really start caring for my skin. There’s really no excuse not to. So here’s the question I pondered for a while: what product can help my skin with minimal effort? And like magic, I saw a teal bottle from Hum Nutrition gracing our shelves. It’s such a cute company, by the way. Seriously, check out their Instagram. They’re branding is adorable, and it makes me want to soak up every little piece of advice they put on their social media accounts.
Hum Nutrition & Skin
Anyway, back to the whole reason you’re reading this post—Hum’s Daily Cleanse. It’s a tiny capsule packed with an herb-nutrient blend (more on that in a sec) that I only have to worry about twice a day. I take it without food (so right when I wake up and hours after lunch at work). No fuss, mirrors or sink necessary. And literally after a few months, my skin is clearing up. I was really dealing with blotchy red skin and the occasional acne flare up. Plus every time I touched my skin, I could feel the damage the harsh winter had done to it—yes, it was like sandpaper (ok, not that bad, but still not great).
Currently, my skin tone looks even and it kind of has a youthful glow back to it. Plus it is smoothing back out, which is so nice, especially since I’m not dealing with the acne flare ups anymore. I’m really loving how easy this has been for me. And it’s an extra bonus that I don’t need to put foundation on everyday anymore. (double win!)
The Daily Cleanse does exactly what it sounds like it should: it cleanses your major organs—skin, liver, bowel, kidneys, and lungs. So this vegan and ethically-sourced capsule is cleaning your skin from the inside out. Pretty cool, huh?
So what’s in it that it works so well? Things like beetroot, red clover, milk thistle, organic green algae, matcha green tea, and a bunch of other ingredients that I would never eat on my own free will. But in capsule form, you never have to worry about a bad broccoli after-taste and you still get all the good benefits of these detoxing ingredients.
And it literally has just a hair under 5 stars rating on their website (so maybe a 4.85? We’re just guessing here). So it’s clearly working for those who have way different skin types than me. So if you’re anything like me—a.k.a. clueless about skin care even if you desperately need it—then check out the Daily Cleanse. You’re going to be wondering why you didn’t come across this sooner.
